We need to rethink wood. It’s present and future are nothing like you can imagine. Look at the glass windowpanes in the picture above and see if you can see anything odd about it? Look closely. Those normal looking windows are actually made from wood. If you’re shocked, so am I.
Most of us think of wood as an archaic or “dumb” building material. It’s something that’s supplanted by “smarter” materials in large modern buildings, vehicles, and electronic devices. Steel, aluminum, and plastic are the hallmarks of our modern day. Wood equals the past.
